A payment on usurpit.lol buys temporary featured placement: your name, X handle, link, and message are displayed on one of the 32 spots for as long as you hold it. That is the entire product. You are not buying a good, a guaranteed duration, or an investment. Your hold may last months or seconds.
All payments are final. There are no refunds for any reason, including losing your spot quickly, typos in your message, or losing the race described below.
An open spot costs $1. An owned spot costs at least 1.5 times what the current owner paid, rounded up. You may always pay more than the minimum to make your spot more expensive to take.
A payment wins a spot if and only if it meets that spot’s minimum price at the moment the payment is processed. Payments for the same spot are processed one at a time. If two people pay at nearly the same moment, the first payment processed wins and raises the price; the second wins only if it still meets the new minimum. A payment below the minimum is a failed usurp: no spot, no refund. You will get an email with the new minimum so you can try again.
Today, the site keeps all payments. A future version may pay previous owners a share when their spot is taken. That feature is a plan, not a promise, and nothing on this site is an offer of income, profit, or investment return.
We may remove, edit, or end any claim at any time without refund if it contains hate speech, harassment, illegal content, impersonation, malware links, or anything we simply do not want on our board. Links are displayed with rel="nofollow" and query strings are stripped. URL shorteners are not accepted.
